We are pleased to share with you a new service Inclusive Health PCN have provided for our patients.
Patients with musculoskeletal conditions can ask our reception staff to be booked directly with the First Contact Practitioner who will assess their condition and provide a plan which may include x-rays, physiotherapy or referral to secondary care.
A First Contact Practitioner (FCP) is a physiotherapist who is professionally qualified to treat patients without a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. FCPs are highly experienced and able to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients with MSK issues. FCPs are mainly Extended Scope Physiotherapists (ESP) which are advanced physiotherapists with many years of experience.
Their clinics are held locally such as at Half Penny Steps and St Charles Hospital.
